GENERAL AUDITION INFORMATION

Admission into the STAGEARTS program is by audition only. We are currently accepting applications on a rolling basis until all spots are filled.

Virtual auditions are now open and will be accepted through May 1st, 2026.
At this time, in-person auditions will not be conducted.

For our inaugural program, 60 students will be accepted to study with our world-class teachers. Video submissions will be reviewed in the order they are received, and every submission will be evaluated by our faculty.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Before you submit your audition video, each student must fill out an application form. Applications can be filled out here.

Upon submission of your application form, a $20 non-refundable application fee will be required to consider your application “under review.” Once you have received a payment receipt, you are now confirmed in the review process.

From here, you will have one week to email team@stagearts.co with the following:

  1. A clear portrait-oriented photo of yourself

  2. 2-3 minute self-tape via an unlisted YouTube video OR a Dropbox link

  3. Resume detailing your performing experience to date (optional)

Please title the subject of your email “STAGEARTS Digital Submission – Your Name Here.”

Videos will be adjudicated in the order they were received through email, NOT by acceptance of the application. Again, your video will not be watched unless the formal application and application fee have been received.

If the application fee poses a financial hardship, you may request a fee waiver by emailing team@stagearts.co. Please note that a waiver of the processing fee can not be guaranteed, but we will do what we can to support you!

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Each video submission must include the following criteria:

Video Requirements

  • All videos should be shot horizontally and against a plain backdrop.

  • Please position yourself in the frame from the waist up. This helps us view your movements and expressions clearly.

  • If you choose to film the optional movement component. Please ensure to provide yourself enough filming space so that we can see your entire body in the frame.

A Personal Introduction or Slate

  • Begin your video by sharing a few sentences describing why you would like to attend the NYC summer intensive and what you hope to gain from the program.

  • Include your name, age or grade, a short note about your training or focus, and a fun fact or story that helps us to learn about your personality.

Vocal Audition

  • Sing 1 song of your choice, 32 bars max each (preferably with accompaniment/karaoke track) that will allow us to see both your personality and talent.

  • While this is a program that focuses on musical theater, we will accept pop/contemporary styles as well. The most important thing is that your songs can tell us a story of not only who you are, but why you love to perform!

Optional Movement Component

  • If you would like to show us your dance technique, we would love to see a short movement combination of your choosing. This can be in any style that shows your ability best.

  • If you do not wish to include a movement combination within your audition video, that is perfectly fine! All students who are accepted into the STAGEARTS Summer Intensive will be evaluated on the first day of the program and placed into the dance group that appropriately aligns with their training level.

Be Uniquely You!

  • Remember, the strongest performers lean into what makes them unique. Create a video that gives us a glimpse of who you are as an artist. We want you to be yourself!

APPLICATION DEADLINE

We are currently accepting applications on a rolling basis until all spots are filled, so please submit your video ASAP.

Applications will be accepted for review until May 1st. After this time, we cannot guarantee that our staff will review your application.

While you can submit your videos after this time, your submission will be automatically placed on the waitlist after any students who submitted their materials within the application time frame.

ACCEPTING YOUR PROGRAM POSITION

Acceptance notices will be sent out on a rolling basis and will continue to be sent out after the application deadline of May 1st.

Upon receiving your acceptance email, you will have one week to confirm your position and pay your preliminary deposit of $1,498. If the provided instructions are not fulfilled within this time frame, your position will be forfeited and subsequently offered to the next applicant on the waitlist.

Further deposit instructions and preparation materials will be provided within your acceptance email.

The remaining deposit of $1,498 will be due by June 1.

NOTES ON OUR WAITLIST

If you are unfortunately not one of the 60 students who are selected for the 2026 curriculum, you will be automatically placed on our waitlist in the order of your video submission date. Should a spot become available, we will promptly email you an acceptance email, and the above terms will apply.

If the volume for our inaugural program exceeds expectations, a second week of intensive training may be arranged from July 22nd to 26th. Please be sure to check off that you are interested in these dates on your application so we can gauge the number of students who may be interested in the opportunity.
